Composer and arranger Rich Douglas (Shadowgate, Harvest) has gone and created a re-recording of the soundtrack to the Acclaim first-person shooter Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, just shy of the game’s 20th anniversary.
The Turok: Dinosaur Soundtrack Re-Recording features seven tracks from the original OST re-recorded with higher-quality samples and improves the overall sound of the original music, which was composed by Darren Mitchell for the game’s 1997 release on the Nintendo 64. Rich Douglas, who has done a number of re-recordings, such as Wolfenstein 3D, as well as several arrangement albums resurrects the classic soundtrack for a new crop of listeners over two decades later.
The soundtrack is short, clocking in around 15 minutes, but for fans of the Turok series the album’s $6 pricetag may well be worth it. The album is currently available on Amazon Music.
