Released in January 2015, the expanded soundtrack to the Journeyman Project 3: Legacy of Time adds 10 new tracks pulled from the archives of Presto Studios and offers a complete presentation of the music featured in the award winning game. This release follows the release of the soundtrack to the Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime and offers a superior listening experience on a reasonably priced CD.
The soundtrack to Double Fine’s latest game project, Massive Chalice, will be available on several new platforms. The Massive Chalice OST had its original release on Bandcamp back in November of 2014, in time for the release of the game on Steam Early Access. The soundtrack features a mixture of electronic, ambient, and orchestral elements, all designed to compliment the unique turn based strategy game. The soundtrack was composed by Brian Trifon and Brian Lee White, who make up the Finishing Move music and sound production company.
The complete Massive Chalice OST will be available today for download on iTunes, Amazon, Xbox Music, and Google Play. If you haven’t had a chance to pick this soundtrack up, you will now have a few more opportunities and options available for grabbing yourself a copy.
The year 2014 has come and gone. There were a lot of great soundtracks, arrange albums, and remix albums that came out this past year. Patrick and Brenna have already given their nods to some of the excellent music, composers, and artists of 2014, and now it’s my turn. As with the previous writer picks, the format is shortened for this year, with each category receiving a winner and a runner-up. Rolling along with our 2014 recap of our favorite picks, now it’s my turn to go through and highlight what stood out to me this past year in terms of game music and everything related. The chaps over at Game Music Online have just put up their 2014 nominees for their Annual Game Music Awards. The extensive list includes 6 different main categories, such as Scores of the Year and Albums of the Year, and each main category is broken down into several sub-categories. Pretty much every game notable for its score or soundtrack is represented, along with fan arrangement albums and game organizations.

VGMOnline – Annual Game Music Awards
If you’re a fan of the music from the Devil May Cry series, then you just got an early Christmas present. According to a press release from Top Dollar PR, Sumthing Else Music Works just released the Devil May Cry Sound Box, which features a digital collection of the original soundtracks from the first four Devil May Cry games.
Featuring two disks loaded with over five hours of music total, the combination of heavy rock coupled with gothic melodies is a combined effort from composers Tetsuya Shibata, Masami Ueda, Masato Kohda, Akihiko Narita and several others over the course of the series that follows the half-breed Dante during his demon-slaying journeys. The physical collection was previously only available in Japan. (The collection does not feature music from DmC.)
The Devil May Cry Sound Box can be purchased through Sumthing Else‘s website in two chunks for $5.99 each.
