Brave Wave’s Holiday Sale Ends January 8th!

In case you didn’t know, Brave Wave is wrapping up it’s Holiday Sale on January 8, 2017. Their sale includes the physical and digital releases on the Brave Wave label only. It does not include any of the releases under the Generation Series (Street Fighter II, Shovel Knight). Brave Wave has also commented that they only do one big sale a year.

So if you’ve been thinking about picking up one of these great albums, now is the time. Personally I ordered myself Heart Beat Circuit and Terra Magica to complete my physical Brave Wave collection. You can sample In Flux, one of my favorite albums below.

Act Fast! Play-Asia has some Newer Releases on Sale for 24 Hours

Little did I know until very recently that import super-site, Play-Asia, runs short 24 hour sales on an assortment of games, accessories and soundtracks almost every day. There’s usually something to tempt me and for Thursday, April 14th it’s a selection of recent video game music releases that are worthy enough to pass along to our readers.

The 30th Anniversary Super Mario Bros. Music
First up is a double disc, musical equivalent of a museum walking tour. Take a trip through Super Mario history without fumbling a stack of albums or loading up playlists with tracks from 18 Mario titles presented in chronological order. Unfortunately, this isn’t a recording of the live “30th Anniversary” performance out of Japan from last September, but it’s still a pretty nice collector’s album. The $4 discount brings the price down to $33.99 which should just about cover the shipping cost.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Original Soundtrack
Have a listen to one of my favorite soundtracks of 2015 on the cheap! The double disc soundtrack to Metal Gear Solid V includes all of the cutscene score, the main boss battle themes and vocal themes by Donna Burke and Stefanie Joosten. There’s even room for music from Ground Zeroes and a few bonus tracks like “A Phantom Pain” which is one of my absolute favorites. It’s $6 off bringing the price down to $33.99.

Street Fighter V Original Soundtrack
This double disc soundtrack was just released last month and features all the character themes as well as stage main themes and alternates. It too sees a $6 discount today bringing it down to $38.99, one of the cheapest prices I’ve seen in my cursory searches this morning.

Xenoblade X Original Soundtrack
Finally for the day is the gargantuan 4-disc soundtrack to Xenoblade X on Wii U. It’s a soundtrack to match the game’s epic estimated playtime in the hundreds of hours. It also sees a $5 discount today bringing it down to $39.99.

In honor of the release of the new film Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, La-La Land Records is having a sale on some of the best Batman and Superman soundtracks ever released in the form of: Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, and Superman Returns. On March 29, 2016, La-La Land Records also released the soundtrack to the animated film Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman. Details of the sale are below.

The superhero titans’ big-screen fight has spilled over into La-La Land with pummeling sale prices on these BATMAN and SUPERMAN titles! If you’re a fan of Batman or Superman music – you might want to check out this sale on La-La Land Records web site! During Wondercon this past weekend La-La Land Records also announced that a 4th volume of Batman: The Animated Series including something called The Arkham Archives will be released this summer.

Square Enix Online Store Anniversary sees Sale on Music

To celebrate the one year anniversary of the Square Enix Online Store the digital storefront is running a sale through February 21st with savings up to 50% off of games, goods and soundtracks. There are also some specific offers and $10 bonus deals you can check out after the cut but since you’re reading this on OSV you’re probably most interested in the music.

The savings aren’t nearly as impressive on the music side of things but there are, at least, 31 different albums on offer. The biggest savings of 30% off include a couple of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles CDs, some of Final Fantasy XI’s numerous soundtracks and The 3rd Birthday. Recent releases like 2015’s BRA★BRA Final Fantasy Brass de Bravo ($24) and X’mas Collections Music from Bravely Default ($27) from 2014 have had a few bucks knocked off the asking price. Even that ridiculously posh, 7-disc collection, Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5 & 2.5 ReMIX- Original Soundtrack BOX ($72), can be had $8 cheaper during the sale.
