The up-and-coming adventure RPG from indie developer studio Dim Bulb Games titled Where the Water Tastes Like Wine will be releasing next week to Steam. Likewise the game soundtrack, composed by Ryan Ike (Gunpoint) will be releasing on the same day thanks to Materia Collective.
Where the Water Tastes Like Wine The Original Soundtrack will feature 29 tracks features a blues-tinge that lends itself to the game’s western themes of “traveling, sharing stories, and surviving manifest destiny”. The game isn’t as action-oriented, and therefore can take advantage of telling a story and spinning the tales brought up between character your interact with as well as your own, with music that lends itself to the narration.
The soundtrack features a bevy of different artists that add to Ike’s vision of the game’s music, including vocalists Althea, Jillian Aversa and Elizabeth Zharoff, as well as performers Jeff Ball (Tiny Barbarian XD) John Robert Matz (Gunpoint) and Videri String Quartet lending their talent to each track.
You can pre-order the soundtrack to Where the Water Tastes Like Wine now on Bandcamp or on Amazon. You can also check out the full list of track credits on the Materia Collective web page for the album.
