Everyone claims that gamers in Japan get all the love while gamers elsewhere are left with the scraps. Well, here’s another reason to be jealous as the Press Start Symphony of Games 2008 website just went live today confirming the date and announcing some of the special guests who will attend.
Maybe you’ve heard of Nobuo Uematsu, Masahiro Sakurai, or Shogo Sakai? Last year’s concert featured music from Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Actraiser, Ace Combat, and even Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, providing an interesting blend of styles that has me wondering what they’ll have in store for attendees this year. Buy those airline tickets now if you plan to make it to the September 14, 2008 show in Tokyo!
Does anyone else feel left out with all these cool events occurring in Japan? Are Video Games Live and PLAY! A Videogame Symphony enough to satisfy your live game music performance cravings? Is the PRESS START GADGET ORCHESTRA not the coolest name for an orchestra you’ve ever heard?
