Prescription for Sleep: Memories of Mana Now Available Free

With the recent release of the classic RPG Secret of Mana on the Playstation 4, the gang responsible for the Prescription for Sleep: Game Music Lullibies series of albums have released one of the tracks from their Lullabies of Mana album free for download.

“Memories of Mana” is an original track composed and performed by GENTLE LOVE (Norihiko Hibino on saxophone and Etrian Odyssey pianist AYAKI) that is inspired by the world and themes of Secret of Mana. It was recorded after the duo had completed work on 11 arrangements from the Secret of Mana soundtrack for the Prescription for Sleep: Lullabies of Mana album, which is currently available on iTunes, Spotify, and more.

Tangledeep Original Soundtrack Now Available

The soundtrack to the retro-styled RPG by Impact Gameworks, Tangledeep, now features it’s soundtrack live and available for purchase. The game features compositions from several big-name composers such as Hiroki Kituta (Secret of Mana), Norihiko Hibino (Metal Gear Solid), Granbt Kirkhope (Banjo-Kazooie) and Andrew Aversa.

“Just as the game’s visual aesthetic is modeled after SNES RPGs such as Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, and Lufia 2, my influences for this soundtrack include those fantastic games as well. The Tangledeep Original Soundtrack features 30 tracks of music inspired by RPGs of the 16-bit era, with a variety of styles that all fit a central theme denoting a fantasy adventure setting.

Scarlet Moon Records, Norihiko Hibino (Metal Gear Solid) and AYAKI (Eterian Odyssey) are at it again with yet another Prescription for Sleep: Game Music Lullabies. After producing several albums based around video game music to help sooth you into relaxation, the team now brings it’s newest iteration: Fight for your Dreams.

Fight for your Dreams centers itself around battle themes and boss music from both video games and other popular media, all spun into a jazzy and smooth sequence of music tracks that will help ease your tension for the rigors of every-day life. Battle Themes from Undertale, Mega Man 2, Super Metroid and more are given the GENTLE LOVE touch of Hibino and AYAKI.

I’ve been wanting to create a volume dedicated to battle music for quite some time. I’ve been trying to increase the challenge factor with each installment of the series, and what better way to challenge Hibino-san and AYAKI than by taking some of the most intense music from videogames and having them transformed into lullabies? Norihiko Hibino, composer for the Metal Gear Solid series and the producer of the Prescription for Sleep: Game Music Lullabies series of albums continues the growth of his Hibino Sound Therapy Lab project along with aid from Mission One with the Prescription for Serenity wellness app.

Since 2009, Hibino has seen the Prescription for Sleep albums grow and diversify, not just with soothing game music but with a wide range of relaxation bundles. Prescription for Serenity will take high resolution music files featuring live chamber music, solo harp and piano performances, and of course, more jazzy lullabies from GENTLE LOVE, the duo comprised of Hibino and Etrian Odyssey pianist AYAKI, who have made a name for themselves with their Billboard-charting Prescription for Sleep: Game Music Lullabies albums. The library is also expandable with a subscription that will add new content as it’s recorded, including selections from the Prescription for Sleep: Game Music Lullabies series.

Who here like Undertale? (Cue metaphorical sea of hands outstretched begin popping up as far as the eye can see.) Well how about the Prescription for Sleep video game lullabies music albums from Metal Gear Solid composer Norihiko Hibino and Etrian Odyssey pianist AYAKI? Then you’ll all probably be very happy boys and girls come December 1st.

Prescription for Sleep: Undertale is a two-disc relaxation album from the aforementioned duo also commonly known as GENTLE LOVE and produced by Scarlet Moon Records. The album is fully licensed and is planned for release on December 1, 2016 in digital and limited edition physical formats from Bandcamp and other digital retailers. Even better news is that you can pre-order it now for $10.00 digital, and $25.00 for the limited edition physical release.

The limited edition physical release of the album will only have 1,000 copies, and will feature 6-panel digipak with silver foil print on the cover, two discs of music, and a 20-page booklet containing featuring the character of Undertale in four comic strips and four stickers illustrated by artist Maximo Lorenzo.

If you’re looking for a holiday gift for the Secret of Mana fan in your life, here’s something to surprise them with this season. Prescription for Sleep: Lullabies of Mana is the newest of the Prescription for Sleep game music series, derived from the original game soundtrack composed by Hiroki Kikuta and arranged by Metal Gear Solid composer Norihiko Hibino.

“Our first two Prescription for Sleep albums featured a variety of tracks from across all videogames, and were a great introduction to our healing game music concept. But with the third album, I wanted to try something different. A tribute arrangement album titled Prescription for Peace has been released by Scarlet Moon Records and features the renowned duo of Metal Gear Solid composer Norihiko Hibino and AYAKI, also known as Gentle Love, paying musical respect to the late Nintendo President, Satoru Iwata.

“It’s with great sadness and respect for the recently departed that Scarlet Moon Records makes available a soulful musical tribute to late Nintendo President and CEO Satoru Iwata and renowned musician from the Niigata region of Japan Eiki Oshimi. Prescription for Peace: A Tribute to the Departed features GENTLE LOVE, the musical duo comprised of Metal Gear Solid series composer Norihiko Hibino and pianist AYAKI, and covers the Onett theme from EarthBound–also known as Mother 2 in Japan–a title that Mr. Iwata had a significant role in developing. The second track, “Sincerely Yours,” pays tribute to Mr. Oshimi, a musical mentor to the Hibino family who passed within a few days of Mr. Iwata.

The tribute is being sold for $1 to cover licensing fees to Nintendo with any additional revenue generated to be donated to the American Cancer Society. It’s available now from LOUDR and from other digital retailers”

Part of the “Prescription…” series of empathetic and soul-soothing arrangements, Prescription for Peace is a fitting memorial to the beloved Iwata-san.
