One of the early hitters in the Western arrangement scene, Brian Davis (not to be confused with Ubik of OCR fame) released 2 fan favorite albums as early as 2003 with his album Cheat Codes. That album can be considered somewhat ahead of its time in terms of the approach subsequent albums from other parties would take after its release. Cheat Codes contained a highly diverse and original choice of track listing, some of which still remains fairly untapped in potential and at the time unrivaled production quality. After Davis’s second CD, Last Level was released in 2005, the announcement of a SEGA Genesis album was made, but eventually, both Davis and his music seemed to fade into obscurity with focus being shifted to original composition and work.
Now, Davis is back in the video game arrangement scene with the promised Genesis album ready to be served. The release, titled In Memory of The Mega Drive, features several songs from the biggest titles across the platform, with Sonic The Hedgehog, Shinobi 3 and Boogerman being a few of the games chosen for the project. The songs are presented in true Brian Davis fashion, excellent musicianship, creative intros and top notch production. Best of all, it is completely free!
