You’ve probably not heard much about RE:Play just yet but co-creators Suraj and Cresendo have been building their passion project as a festival to celebrate games, their music and all the people who create, play and love them. Details of the premiere event are just now beginning to trickle out of the web.
One thing’s for certain, RE:Play will make its debut on September 19th at The Hive in Houston, Texas but exactly what’s going to happen there remains a mystery. The flyer (seen above, in full here) promises art, booze, food and video games with RE:Play’s site describing it as “an outlet for game developers and musicians to perform and showcase their material, as well as fans to celebrate their love of gaming.” It sounds like a glorious mini-festival of all things gaming.
Along with art and live gaming events, collaborator Brave Wave, mentioned in a tweet that “Fans of Mega Man, Mighty No. 9, Shovel Knight & Starr Mazer are in for a special treat!” What does it all mean? We’ll be back with more as this surprising new festival draws closer.

My guess is that Manami Matsumae is performing given that she worked/is working on all of those games!
Good call! Just yesterday they officially announced more about the event and she’ll be there. The post with more details is hopefully going up soon.
