Just as we did for last month’s PAX South, we’re giving you the rundown of what you can expect to see from a game music and audio standpoint at PAX East 2017 next week in Boston. Some new and some returning musical performances shall be gracing the main stage concerts, as well as other tidbits you can check out through the event.
Concerts: (all Main Stage)
Friday Night (8:30pm – 12:00 EST)
Saturday Night (8:30 – 1200 EST)
This PAX East isn’t featuring the same amount of game music and audio panels as seen at other PAX events (at least, not as of the time of writing this), so you’ll instead have some free time to check out the MAGFest JAMspace. If you’ve never been introduced to JAMspace, it’s a combination of an open mic session for musicians to come together and jam out on, as well as featuring scheduled lineups of performances from VGM artists, chiptune, nerdcore and more. The JAMspace runs the whole length of PAX East in room 109AB. Here’s the full schedule:

If you’re up for venturing outside PAX proper (or you weren’t lucky enough to snag a badge), Party with Your Friends will be going on simultaneously just a short ways from the BCEC. The music mini-event is being held at the Ascend Nightclub Friday night with plenty of music and gaming and more. More info can be checked out on the event’s page.
So if you’re looking to immerse yourself in a ton of great music and jamming out, there’s going to be plenty at PAX East this year. We’ll be covering those, plus music from games on the expo hall floor and more, so keep an eye out for our PAX East reports soon after!
