While it’s only one track, it’s still noteworthy for being something completely unexpected from our friend Norihiko Hibino. Sho Chiku Bai is a pachinko game that just launched for the iPhone and iPod Touch, and to go along with its super-cute anime inspired visuals, Hibino has crafted a catchy, sticky-sweet pop track.
If you’re like me and are without a flashy iPhone or iPod Touch, you can still grab the song off iTunes for a measly $0.99. Also feel free to check out the above video that Mission One has prepared to accompany the single.
What do you think? Does this style suit Norihiko Hibino? Are you as pleasantly surprised as I am?

Another proof of Norihiko Hibino’s professionalism. By now I think he can do anything!
Are you still doing the Ask Hibino feature every month? I haven’t been sending in my questions, but I just read his interview in the latest EGM. I always thought it sucked how he never got credit along with Harry gregson williams for the MGS games even though it really is mostly his sound that has made Metal gear what it is.
Pachinko’s all about dropping coins into slots, so whatever it takes to get people to stay entertained and open their wallets gets the win.
