Bet you thought I forgot! Not a chance. In case you weren’t regularly checking the Mephtik website (none of you, right?), here I am to tell you about what you’ve been missing. This month we have Darkness Into Light EP by Steven Buckner, which is a preview of his full-length album with several of the jazzier selections compiled in mp3 format for your free listening pleasure.
I’ve been dying to get some jazz music on Mephtik for quite some time, so it was an exciting release. “Moonlight in the Sahara” is my particular favorite, but given that it’s free, you have no excuse not to check the whole thing out. Also feel free to head over to Buckner’s website for information about the album and the planned follow-ups, and his MySpace for more music.
Have a favorite track from the EP? Looking forward to hearing a release from Joshua Morse on the label now that we’ve proven we’re not all about electronic music?

23.9 minutes is hardly “full-length”…
But it’s groovy, and I dig it.
Edited it since some of words were too big for Brandon to understand.
It’s different from what I usually listen to. But I like it. Very relaxing.
