As yours truly is the Music Director of the four AOL Radio stations you’re most likely to listen to, I thought I’d put together a regular update of what music I’ve added to the playlists. I work mainly in the soundtrack section of AOL Radio, heading up the Video Game Scores, Final Fantasy Radio, Anime Radio, as well as the world section, on J-Pop the station.
Here’s what I’ve added this week:
Video Game Scores:
The biggest addition is the best selections from Hitoshi Sakimoto’s Valkyria Chronicles OST, which was long overdue. I’m also currently in the process of uploading some of the newest Katamari Damacy songs. Next week, I’ve got some brand new (and I mean really new) goodies lined up that you’ll definitely want to hear.
Final Fantasy Radio:
Yes, the big one is coming. I’m still processing it. Final Fantasy XIII should be on the station by the time the game is released in the US. This week I added some of the best selections from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII.
Anime Radio:
This station saw a ton of updates. The very overdue Gurren Lagann OST was added, as was Code Geass R2, Idolmaster Xenoglossia, My Hime, and much more. For some reason, one of my favorites, K-taro Takanami’s Chobits score, was not in the mix. I’ll fix that later today.
J-Pop:
I added Arashi’s latest best-of album, and many of the songs shot straight to the top of the ratings! To balance out some of the boy band power, I’ve added some M-flo and Ken Hirai’s latest. Songs from GREEEN should be coming later this week. I’m excited about some brand new stuff that’s also on the way.
_______
Tune into AOL Radio to listen. If you do, please rate the songs to let me know how I’m doing, as well as what you like. Also, please let me know what else you’d like to hear.

It’s great to hear you’re uploading bits of the Valkyria Chronicles score. If I could make a suggestion, please upload the orchestra-only version of Succeeded Wish as well. I feel it’s a thing of beauty and the BEST piece in the Valkyria Chronicles score by far. It wasn’t featured on the soundtrack and can only be found via game-rips, so I’m not sure if you have a copy, but I’ll toss you one here. The quality may be a bit iffy for audiophiles, but it’s the best anyone could do. Please upload it; it’s something truly worth bestowing upon the ears of others.

This should be a cool feature. Hopefully we can all keep on your ass about what needs to be added, haha.
