Yes, we know GDC was two weeks ago, but we were quite busy this year, and will be rolling content out for weeks to come. One thing we checked out at GDC was a DS title from Valcon Games called Easy Piano. Just as the name implies, it’s a teaching tool that aims to teach players the basics of piano, including reading musical notation, developing chords, and even performing. Best of all, there’s a little piano attachment that plugs into the GBA slot (sorry DSi owners!) which is not only adorable, but is also a lot of fun to play with.
The game and piano attachment will come bundled together for $39.99, and will be available next week on March 30 from Walmart, Amazon, and other online retailers. We had some brief hands-on time with the game at GDC, and I got a kick out of the touchscreen-based mini-games that teach you various aspects of reading music, and the performance mode, while limited to one octave, was both challenging and fun.
What do you think of Easy Piano? Will you be picking it up next week?
