iPod touch and iPhone get all serious with audio apps

For as many things as an iPhone can do, the only “business” you can take care with using one is either emails or phone calls. But now it looks like some serious audio tools are coming to the iPlatform.

If you’re one that needs to analyze audio signals, you can now whip out your iPhone and analyze away with SignalScope ($24.99), a real-time spectrum analyzer and oscilloscope. CDM says that you can zoom in on readings and even save snapshots to your photo album! Damn, I know “professional” sequencers that don’t have spectrum analyzers.

The much simpler but equally cool SignalSuite lets you generate basic waveforms with your iPhone. Only a true audio geek would think this is cool, but I’m totally sold for the price of $9.99.

Faber Acoustical has both products available on their Web page. Check out the demo video for SignalScope; it’s quite impressive!
