A few months ago, we ran a story on episode 10 of Boy Friends, featuring “Stickerbrush Symphony” from Donkey Kong Country 2 as the background for a humorous hiphop parody. Today, we want to introduce you to one of the most impressive musicians out there. His handle is Freddie25.
Compared to the last video, which was meant for the sake of humor (though the music still sounded great), these fan arrangements are meant to be serious musical endeavors. And it shows. After the jump, check out Freddie do an incredible multi-instrument acoustic arrangement from The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, and a great electric guitar medley of songs from Mega Man 9!
Seriously… this is just too good. Someone needs to get a job composing VGM.

Um, freaking awesome? That Zelda thing is just amazing, and the MM9 thing… well, I hate watching speed runs. People figure out ways to get around everything. It’s like, “I hated that part, why didn’t I think of that?!”
That is some serious skill right there!
Just a reminder that composing and arranging are 2 separate sets of skills, but yes his ARRANGES are very good.
I feel you Carl, but I said that because I figure if the guy has this much talent, he probably has a few original thoughts floating in his mind. It’s rare for someone to base their career on arrangement *only* (though it does happen, certainly).
also, regarding the MM9 speed run…
HOLY CRAP Concrete Shot. You can do EVERYTHING with that, and I had no idea. You can even turn the lava to concrete and then destroy it with the trident! That’s absurd.
Yeah Patrick, I saw some different tactics in the MM9 video that I hadn’t known about either.
