It seems Ubiktune, the chip music label run by the talented C-Jeff, are unable to release anything other than fantastic music. The outlet has kept its catalog stronger than any other with back to back releases of Tree of Knowledge and Equilibrium recently but at Ubiktune, the good things never stop coming. Already they are presenting us with another fine release, RushJet1’s Forgotten Music.
RushJet1 is already one of the most well known and highly respected chip musicians and deservedly so, taking part in high profile releases such as Chiptuned Rockman and releasing his very own albums on 8bitpeoples with the amazing 2007 release Out There being a fan favorite. Now, he is gracing Ubiktune with a 30 minute album consisting of songs and melodies that have been sitting on the shelves that finally have been finalized and completed, as well as some re-imagining of some older songs to update the sound and compositions. The result is one of RushJet1’s finest outings, with all new material along with some songs that keep a sense of familiarity for his long time listeners, creating a great all around feeling to the album.
The gem is released under the pay-what-you-want donate system, so be sure to listen and throw a few coins RushJet1’s way.
