So it’s not quite as many discs as the SaGa Series 20th Anniversary Premium Box that we reviewed earlier this year, but it’s equally impressive. Konamistyle has revealed that the collection, titled the Akumajo Dracula Best Music Collections BOX will go on sale on March 24, 2010 for 21,000 yen, or just a bit over $230 USD.
So what’s in it? Apparently we’ll be getting a slew of Castlevania titles including the first-time release of the soundtracks to Castlevania on the MSX2 and Castlevania Legends along with additional tracks from the Sega Saturn version of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. The set will also include the Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia soundtrack, which was previously a limited edition exclusive. Disc 18 will contain arrangements courtesy of former Konami composer Michiru Yamane, and a bonus DVD will include an interview with Yamane along with footage from recording sessions. Sounds pretty damn awesome, so start saving!
Are you with me in wondering what will be included in this special box set? There’s no way they’re going to get all of the music from the entire franchise in it. I want to know more about this arrangement disc for sure.

Man, I’d KILL to finally hear the full high-quality version of “The Pinnacle” that was featured in the Dawn of Sorrow trailer.

But, we’ll probably be denied it yet again. 🙁
If they manage to get Dracula New Classic on there somehow I am totally there. Forking over $230 to get an out of print $120 CD? Sounds like a plan to me! 😉
I hope that this thing will will be more accessible than the saga box. I really wanted the saga box.
Daytona USA, SaGa, Castlevania. Monster boxes are getting a new trend, it seems? Capcom, I wait for some Mega Man sound blast!
I’d rather have some Perfect Selection Dracula Battle reprints, but okay.
Hamu-Sumo, there are already two big Mega Man boxes to be had.
But if I remember correctly they were not as big as these, were they? However, have to save money anyway. -.-
Megaman 1-6 on one set, and X1-X6 on another. Not entirely comprehensive, but Capcom (and TEAM Entertainment) has been better about filling in all the gaps in Megaman soundtrack releases than Konami has been with Castlevania, when you look at their histories.
